The NRI Cell, located in Police Headquarters, Thiruvananthapuram and led by a Superintendent of Police, falls under the direct supervision of ADGP and IGP Head Quarters. The Cell is specifically responsible for investigating complaints made by Non-Resident Keralites and their family members, including issues such as visa fraud, fraudulent recruitment practices, trafficking of women to foreign countries, and physical and mental abuse of NRIs at their workplaces abroad. The office receives petitions from affected individuals, as well as government authorities and the State Police Chief.
Non-Resident Keralites can file their complaints to the Kerala Police NRI Cell either by e-mail to spnri.pol@kerala.gov.in
