An Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) card is a document issued to certain individuals of Indian origin who live outside of India. The OCI card is a lifelong visa for the holder, allowing them to enter and exit India at any time and stay in the country for an indefinite period. ആജീവനാന്ത കാലാവധിയുള്ള ഒ.സി.െഎ കാര്ഡുകള് കൈവശംവെക്കുന്നവര് തങ്ങളുടെ പാസ്പോര്ട്ട് പുതുക്കുമ്പോള് ഒ.സി.െഎ കാര്ഡുകളും പുതുക്കണമെന്നും പുതിയ പാസ്പോര്ട്ട് വിവരങ്ങള് ഒ.സി.െഎ കാര്ഡില് രേഖെപ്പടുത്തണമെന്നും നിയമമുണ്ട്. അടുത്തിടെ കേന്ദ്ര സര്ക്കാര് നിയമം കര്ശനമാക്കിയിരുന്നു. ഇത് നടപ്പാക്കാനുള്ള കാലാവധിയാണ് ആറു മാസത്തേക്കുകൂടി നീട്ടിയത്.
