Garden City University Bangalore

GCUGarden City University had its beginning when Garden City Education Trust was established in 1992 by Dr. Joseph V G with the support of likeminded educationalists in Bangalore. The Trust was established to set up centres of educational excellence that would accept only qualitative practices, nurturing students with value based education. The Trust began it’s operations with Garden City College of Science and Management Studies which obtained an A grade – the highest grade conferred to an educational institution when assessed by NAAC, the National Assessments and Accreditation Council under the UGC and the college has maintained this grade for the last three cycles of accreditation.

The variety of courses, institutions and students increased year on year and Garden City College saw itself rise to become the Garden City University in the year 2013.

In 2013, the government of Karnataka passed the Garden City University Act which received the assent of the Governor of Karnataka on 26th March 2013. Garden City University has grown by leaps and bounds from its humble beginning to a world class centre of excellence that has courses that cater to all academic pursuits and has students of 80 nationalities buzzing around the campus. The rise of Garden City University from a single institution is the result of the vision of founder chairman Dr. Joseph V G who is an educationalist per excellence who at a very young age proposed to bring forth qualitative changes in the education landscape of India. Dr. Joseph V G is from Vayalil family originally hailing from Kottayam, Kerala.

Garden City University’s primary focus on revolutionizing the outlook of education in India by raising existing standards is turning out to be a blessing for the young aspiring students. Garden City University is a beacon that leads seekers of knowledge to their destined path.
