10th GARSHOM AWARDS PRESENTATION CEREMONY

Tenth Garshom awards were presented by the Bangalore Development and town planning Minister Mr. K J George. During the tenth Garshom Awards presentation ceremony held in the Garden City College Ceremony Hall, Bangalore on Sunday 27th December 2015, the press secretary to the President of India Mr. Venu Rajamony, Dr. Aswath Narayan MLA, Honorary Consul of Maldives Dr. Joseph V.G, Dr. J. Alexander IAS (retd.) were the chief guests. Mr. Joseph Scaria Junior from Philippines, Smt. Jeny Verma from Bangalore, Mr. Musthafa Hamza from Kuwait, Sqdn. Ldr. (retd.) P. P Cherian from Kochi, Mr. Jacob Mathai from Nigeria and Dr. Raghavan Nambiar from Malaysia were awarded the Pravasi Ratna, Pravasi Vanitha, Yuva Pravasi, Pravasi Returnee and Special Awards respectively. The award for the Best Pravasi Malayalee Association awarded to All India Malayalee Association (AIMA) was received by it’s President Mr. Gokulam Gopalan and Chairman Mr. Babu Panikker. Former Karnataka MLA Mr. Ivan Nigli, Managing Editor of Garshom Mr. Jins Paul and Executive Director of Garshom Mr. Jaijo Joseph also addressed the gathering. The Garshom Awards presentation function was followed by a musical programme.
