തുടര്ച്ചയായി ഏഴാം തവണയാണ് പ്രമേഹ ബോധവത്കരണത്തിന് കൂട്ടനടത്തം സംഘടിപ്പിക്കുന്നത്. കൂട്ട നടത്തത്തില് ആയിരങ്ങള് അണിനിരന്നു.

പ്രമേഹത്തെ പ്രതിരോധിക്കാന് വ്യായാമവും ചിട്ടയായ ജീവിതവും നിത്യജീവിതത്തിന്റെ ഭാഗമാക്കണമെന്ന് അദ്ദേഹം ഉദ്ഘാടന പ്രസംഗത്തില് ഓര്മിപ്പിച്ചു. നടത്തം ആരംഭിക്കുന്നതിനുമുമ്പ് വിവിധ വ്യായാമ മുറകള് അഭ്യസിക്കുന്നതിനെ കുറിച്ചുള്ള വിവരണം നല്കി. ആശുപത്രികളുടെ നേതൃത്വത്തില് സൗജന്യ രക്തപരിശോധനയും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.
