നേരത്തേ ബഹ്റൈനില് ജോലി ചെയ്യുന്ന സ്ത്രീകള്ക്ക് ഭര്ത്താവിനെയും മക്കളെയും സ്പോണ്സര് ചെയ്യാന് കഴിയുമായിരുന്നില്ല. മാത്രവുമല്ല ഭര്ത്താവിന്റെ വിസയില് എത്തിയിരുന്ന സ്ത്രീകള്ക്ക് ചില പ്രത്യേക ജോലികള് മാത്രമേ ചെയ്യാന് സാധിക്കുമായിരുന്നുള്ളൂ. ഇതിലും മാറ്റമുണ്ടായി.
മനാമ: ബഹ്റൈനില് വിസ നിയമങ്ങളില് മാറ്റം വരുന്നു. രാജ്യത്ത് ജോലി ചെയ്യുന്ന പ്രവാസി സ്ത്രീകള്ക്ക് ഭര്ത്താവിനെയും കുട്ടികളെയും സ്പോണ്സര് ചെയ്യുന്നതിന് അനുമതി നല്കി. ബഹ്റൈന് ഇന്ത്യ സൊസൈറ്റി റീജ്യന്സി ഇന്റര്കോണ്ടിനെന്റല് ഹോട്ടലില് സംഘടിപ്പിച്ച സെമിനാറിലാണ് ലേബര് മാര്ക്കറ്റ് റെഗുലേറ്ററി അതോറിറ്റി (എല്.എം.ആര്.എ) സി.ഇ.ഒ ഉസാമ അല് അബ്സി ഇക്കാര്യം വ്യക്തമാക്കിയത്. ഇതോടൊപ്പം ഹൗസ് വൈഫ് വിസയില് എത്തുന്ന പ്രവാസികളായ സ്ത്രീകള്ക്കും ജോലി ചെയ്യാന് അനുമതിയുണ്ടാകും.
