ഏഴു വിമാനത്താവളങ്ങളിലാണ് ആദ്യഘട്ടത്തില് പദ്ധതി നടപ്പാക്കുന്നത്. അഹമ്മദാബാദ്, ചെന്നൈ, ന്യൂഡല്ഹി, മുംബൈ, കൊല്ക്കത്ത, ഹൈദരാബാദ്, ബംഗരൂളു എന്നിവിടങ്ങളിലെ ബാഗേജ് ടാഗ് സ്റ്റാമ്പിങാണ് ഇന്നു മുതല് പത്തു ദിവസത്തേക്ക് പരീക്ഷണാടിസ്ഥാനത്തില് ഒഴിവാക്കാന് തീരുമാനിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നത്.
ന്യൂഡല്ഹി: വിമാനയാത്രയ്ക്കിടെ കൈയില് കരുതുന്ന ലഗേജുകള്ക്ക് ഇന്നു മുതല് ബാഗേജ് ടാഗിങ് ഒഴിവാക്കും. ഏഴു വിമാനത്താവളങ്ങളിലാണ് ആദ്യഘട്ടത്തില് പദ്ധതി നടപ്പാക്കുന്നത്. അഹമ്മദാബാദ്, ചെന്നൈ, ന്യൂഡല്ഹി, മുംബൈ, കൊല്ക്കത്ത, ഹൈദരാബാദ്, ബംഗരൂളു എന്നിവിടങ്ങളിലെ ബാഗേജ് ടാഗ് സ്റ്റാമ്പിങാണ് ഇന്നു മുതല് പത്തു ദിവസത്തേക്ക് പരീക്ഷണാടിസ്ഥാനത്തില് ഒഴിവാക്കാന് തീരുമാനിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നത്. പരീക്ഷണം വിജയിച്ചാല് അടുത്ത ഘട്ടത്തില് ബോര്ഡിങ് പാസ് സ്റ്റാമ്പ് ചെയ്യുന്നതും ഒഴിവാക്കും.
ബോര്ഡിങ് പാസും ഹാന്ഡ് ബാഗേജുകളും സ്റ്റാമ്പ് ചെയ്യുന്നത് 1992 മുതല് നിലവിലുള്ളതാണ്. വിമാനത്താവളങ്ങളുടെ സുരക്ഷ ചുമതലയുള്ള സിഐഎസ്എഫിന്റെ തീരുമാനപ്രകാരമാണ് ഹാന്ഡ് ലഗേജിനുള്ള ബാഗേജ് ടാഗിങ് അവസാനിപ്പിക്കുന്നത്. മറ്റു സംസ്ഥാനങ്ങളിലേക്കും ഇതു വ്യാപിപ്പിക്കുമെന്ന് അധികൃതര് വ്യക്തമാക്കി. ഇന്ത്യയില് മാത്രമാണ് ഇപ്പോഴും ഇതു നിലനില്ക്കുന്നതെന്നും വ്യോമയാന മേഖലയുടെ പുരോഗതിക്കനുസരിച്ചുള്ള കാലികമായ തീരുമാനമാണ് കൈക്കൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നതെന്നും സിഐഎസ്എഫ് ഡയറക്ടര് ജനറല് ഒ.പി. സിംഗ് പറഞ്ഞു.
