ഷാര്ജയില് നിന്ന് ചൊവ്വാഴ്ച പുലര്ച്ചെ ഒരു മണിക്ക് കരിപ്പൂരിലേക്ക് പുറപ്പെടേണ്ട എ.ഐ 998 നമ്പര് എയര് ഇന്ത്യ വിമാനം 20 മണിക്കൂറോളം വൈകി.
ഷാർജ: ഷാര്ജയില് നിന്ന് ചൊവ്വാഴ്ച പുലര്ച്ചെ ഒരു മണിക്ക് കരിപ്പൂരിലേക്ക് പുറപ്പെടേണ്ട എ.ഐ 998 നമ്പര് എയര് ഇന്ത്യ വിമാനം 20 മണിക്കൂറോളം വൈകി. 150തിൽപ്പരം യാത്രക്കാർ വിമാനത്തിൽ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു. ഇവരിൽ വിവാഹത്തിൽ പങ്കെടുക്കാൻ നാട്ടിലേക്ക് പുറപ്പെട്ടവരും മരണവിവരം അറിഞ്ഞ് പോകുന്നവരും ഉൾപ്പെടുന്നു.
കടുത്ത മൂടല് മഞ്ഞിനെ തുടര്ന്ന് നിരവധി വിമാനങ്ങള് കുറച്ച് നേരത്തേക്ക് വൈകിയിരുന്നെങ്കിലും എല്ലാം അധികം വൈകാതെ യാത്ര ആരംഭിച്ചിരുന്നു. കാരണം തിരക്കിയപ്പോൾ പൈലറ്റ് ഇല്ലെന്നും വീണ്ടും വൈകിയപ്പോൾ വിമാനം ഒമാനിലാണെന്നും വൈകാതെ എത്തുമെന്നുമാണ് അധികൃതർ അറിയിച്ചതെന്ന് യാത്രക്കാർ പറഞ്ഞു.
വൈകിയ സമയത്ത് യാത്രികർക്ക് അധികൃതർ രാവിലെയും ഉച്ചക്കും ഭക്ഷണം നല്കിയിരുന്നു. എന്നാല് 40 പുരുഷന്മാര്ക്കും 20 സ്ത്രീകള്ക്കും വിശ്രമിക്കാനുള്ള സൗകര്യം മാത്രമാണ് അധികൃതര് ഏർപ്പെടുത്തിയത്. 40 പേര്ക്ക് വിശ്രമിക്കാന് നല്കിയത് ഒരു ഹാള് മാത്രമാണ്. നൂറോളം യാത്രക്കാര് മറ്റൊരു വിമാനത്താവളത്തിനകത്ത് കഴിഞ്ഞു.
