ന്യൂഡല്ഹി: നഗരത്തില് സര്വീസ് നടത്തുന്ന ഓട്ടോറിക്ഷകളുടെ വെയിറ്റിങ് ചാര്ജ് വര്ധിപ്പിക്കാന് സര്ക്കാര് ആലോചിക്കുന്നു. നിലവിലുള്ള നിരക്ക് പുനഃപരിശോധിക്കുന്നതിന് മൂന്നംഗ സമിതിയെ ഡല്ഹി സര്ക്കാര് നിയമിച്ചു. ഗതാഗതവകുപ്പ്, ഡി.ഐ.ഐ.എം.ടി.എസ്., അളവുതൂക്കവകുപ്പ് എന്നിവയിലെ സീനിയര് ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥരെയാണ് റിപ്പോര്ട്ട് നല്കുന്നതിനായി ഗതാഗതമന്ത്രി സത്യേന്ദര് ജെയ്ന് നിയോഗിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നത്.
ദീര്ഘകാലമായുള്ള ഓട്ടോറിക്ഷ തൊഴിലാളി യൂണിയന് അനുകൂലമായ റിപ്പോര്ട്ടാണ് സമിതി നല്കുന്നതെങ്കില് ഓട്ടോയിലെ യാത്രയ്ക്കുള്ള ചെലവ് കൂടും. ട്രാഫിക്കില് കുരുങ്ങി സമയം പോകുന്നതിന് പുറമേ 16 മിനിറ്റിലേറെ വെയ്റ്റ് ചെയ്യാന് പറഞ്ഞാല് ഓരോ മിനിറ്റിനും 60-80 പൈസയാണ് ഇപ്പോള് യാത്രക്കാരന് നല്കുന്നത്. ഇത് വളരെ കുറവാണെന്നാണ് യൂണിയന്കാര് പറയുന്നത്. വര്ഷങ്ങളായി തുടരുന്ന ഈ നിരക്ക് വര്ധിപ്പിക്കണമെന്ന് ഡല്ഹി ഓട്ടോറിക്ഷാ സംഘ് ജനറല് സെക്രട്ടറി രാജേന്ദ്ര സോണി ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ടു.
