ദമ്മാം: സൗദിയില് നിരോധിക്കപ്പെട്ട മരുന്നുകളുമായി പ്രവാസികള് കസ്റ്റംസിന്റെ പിടിയിലാകുന്നത് തുടര്കഥയാവുന്നു. കഴിഞ്ഞ രണ്ട് മാസങ്ങളില് രണ്ട് മലയാളിയടക്കം നാല് ഇന്ത്യക്കാരാണ് ദമ്മാമില് മാത്രം പിടിയിലായത്. ഏതൊക്കെ മരുന്നുകളാണ് സൗദിയില് നിരോധിക്കപ്പെട്ടിട്ടുള്ളത് എന്നുള്ള അറിവില്ലാത്തതാണ് ഇവര് പിടിക്കപ്പെടാനുള്ള പ്രധാന പ്രശ്നമെന്ന് സാമൂഹ്യ പ്രവര്ത്തകര് ചൂണ്ടിക്കാട്ടുന്നു.
സൗദിയില് നിരോധിക്കപ്പെട്ട മരുന്ന് കൊണ്ടുവന്നതിന് കഴിഞ്ഞ മാസം കണ്ണൂര് ചാള സ്വദേശിയും ആയുര്വേദ മരുന്നുകളുമായി മറ്റൊരു മലയാളിയുമാണ് പിടയിലായത്. ഒരു യുപി സ്വദേശിയും ഒരു കന്യാകുമാരി സ്വദേശിയുമാണ് പിടിക്കപ്പെട്ട മറ്റു രണ്ട് ഇന്ത്യക്കാര്. പലരും ബന്ധുക്കളുടെയും സുഹൃത്തുക്കളുടെയും ആവശ്യമനുസരിച്ചാണ് പല മരുന്നുകള് കൊണ്ട് വരുന്നത്.
ആറ് മാസങ്ങള്ക് മുമ്പ് രണ്ട് കാര്ട്ടണ് ഉറക്ക് ഗുളികളുമായി മലയാളി വീട്ടമ്മ പിടിയിലായിരുന്നു. നാട്ടില്നിന്ന് ഡോക്ടര്മാരുടെ കത്ത് ലഭിച്ചതിന് ശേഷമാണ് വീട്ടമ്മയെ വിട്ടയച്ചത്, മരുന്നുകള് പോലീസ് കണ്ടുകെട്ടുകയും ചെയ്തു. ഡോക്ടര്മാരുടെ കുറിപ്പോടെ സ്വന്തം ആവശ്യത്തിനല്ലാതെ പരമാവധി മരുന്നുകള് കൊണ്ടു വരാതിരിക്കലാണ് സുരക്ഷിതമെന്ന് സാമൂഹിക പ്രവര്ത്തകര് പറയുന്നു.
